How To Know When Love Is Right

We hear a lot of terms about love.

You must be fearless to experience love.

You must be love before you can have love.

You must know what you want in love before it will show up.

We hear all these terms, everything we must be.

The one thing we need to be is fearless.

The truth is, when love comes knocking at the door, it doesn't come when you expect it.

That's the beautiful thing about love. Love is this unexpected gift that just shows up, usually not at the right time.

We've become a society of people who believe that timing is everything. We have to have things when we're ready for them.

When the stars are aligned. When the kids hit a certain age if you're a single parent. When you have enough money in the bank.

The list goes on and on.

The funny thing about love is that it isn't on a time schedule. It really doesn't even know what time is because time is a human trait and love is an energetic thing.

So when love comes knocking at the door it doesn't realize that it's a Tuesday in February at a certain time and that you are not emotionally ready for it yet. You think you have other things you need to accomplish between the months of February and July before you have space for a love relationship.

You're supposed to be dating a lot. It's one of your goals.

But why do we date a lot? We date a lot because we want love to show up.

It doesn't show up when we've self-directed that we're going to spend 2016 dating and then hopefully by December, around Christmas time, we will finally find love.

The problem with love is that it knows no time or boundaries. It might show up in March.

You were just on your way to having fun and dating all these men. Then all of the sudden, ding dong...

Who is it?

It's love. I'm here a little bit early, so what are you going to do about it?

Love is fearless.

It's going to show up when you don't want it. It's going to show up when you least expect it.

So you have nothing to do but quickly go through your rationalizations. And your fears.

Yeah, you can vomit your fears upon the man who shows up and hopefully he is open and willing and fearless in love and he'll listen to you. There are really good men out there who will know that you're simply going through this process called falling in love, and this process of letting it all go. He'll understand that you didn't expect it at that moment.

But you've got to do it for yourself. When love comes knocking it scares the shit out of you, because you're getting vulnerable fast. It doesn't happen slowly.

Love doesn't happen slowly. It comes in like a locomotive engine. It shows up and there it is.

If you meet a man who keeps showing up every single day and listens to all your neurotic thoughts, allows you to have your fears, and keeps showing up every day with text messages, phone calls and wanting to see you, guess what... love is there.

Love is there and you're going to have to overcome the fears on your own. You're going to have to ride it out, feel it out and talk it out by yourself. You need to figure out how you're going to jump onto this speeding train, because love never slows down.

Love is an energy. It's a beautiful, amazing feeling, and it never slows down for our fears and insecurities. That's part of the way the universe tests us.

Love just shows up, knocks on our door, and says hey, I'm here right now. I'm going to be here, I'm going to show up, and I'm going to desire you.

Love is an amazing thing, and it's going to show up in your life. It's going to show up in a form that you didn't expect.

He may be a little older than you expected in your perfect story. He may be a little shorter. He may be a little chunkier. He might be a little balder. But he's going to show up with a heart that you've been craving.

It's never going to be exactly what you thought.

I know when love shows up for me, she's always taken a different form. Her age is different, her body is different, her height is different, her hair might be a different color. But it's the soul that I recognize that I'm connecting with, and when I connect with that soul I see her become more beautiful. I see her evolve in front of me, almost as if by magic.

Love is coming.

It's coming for you.

It's going to be a wild ride, so you'd better grab your seatbelt, take your fears, and start expecting it. Because when love shows up, you've got that window to make the magic happen.

If a man is showing up fully for you, buckle up. It's going to be rocky and bumpy, but in the end you're going to come out okay.

You're going to come out with a connection deeper than you've ever had.

You're going to be loved fully as you desire and deserve.
