Duvet covers are the unsung heroes of the decor world. Inevitably, though, someone will ask just what a duvet is, not looking for an answer, but an opportunity to share their Jerry Seinfeld-esque commentary on modern living. "What's a duvet, anyway? What are we, European? Let's just call it a blanket!" they say, delighted in their wit.
But it's not a blanket. It's basically a pillowcase for your comforter that keeps it clean, because we all know many of us are not washing those things as often as they should. Occasionally, duvet covers are ridiculously priced. But that doesn't mean you don't need one. Comforters are usually white, which quickly gets dingy when exposed to all the glories the human body has to offer. If you sweat, you need a duvet cover.
Now that you've been at least somewhat convinced, here goes the hardest part: Stuffing the comforter inside the duvet cover. It's not quite as easy as putting a pillow in a pillowcase -- but it's also not as difficult as you'd think. Watch the video above from PureWow to see how to get it done as fast as humanly possible.
