Is it a one-piece bathing suit? A leotard? A girdle? In case you were wondering, a body suit is none of the above. In fact, it's a wearable piece of clothing hot off the spring 2012 runways. As I was flipping through the pages of Vogue's April "Shape" issue, I spotted a svelte model in a pretty, printed Dolce & Gabbana bodysuit. This got me thinking about whether or not real women could actually pull off the look in their daily lives. How would a bodysuit look on a non-model outside of the glossy pages of a fashion magazine. As it turns out, after wearing the exact bodysuit I saw for five days, in five different ways, I came to the conclusion that anyone can pull off the look. Though intimidating at first, it all comes down to how you style the bodysuit. Pairing it with high-waisted jeans and a cardigan tones it down, while a blazer and tailored trouser gives the suit a sophisticated edge. And most surprisingly, I found wearing one both comfortable and versatile.
