In addition to being an Argentinian journalist, Elisabetta Piqué is also friends with the Pope. She has known Pope Francis for over a decade and was one of the few people not totally surprised when Jorge Bergoglio's name was announced in St. Peter's square.

With the world clamoring to know more about this humble leader of the Catholic Church, Piqué's unique friendship and knowledge of Pope Francis made her an obvious choice to write his biography. Yet where does one begin in this massive undertaking of telling the story of a new Pope?
