The most horrific legacy of 9/11, of course, are the tens of thousands of people who must cope with the loss of loved ones. But the consequences of the attack extend far wider. The Huffington Post has invited readers to write about how the events on September 11, 2001 and what followed has changed their lives. And the responses are a broad array of human experiences. Some people had other sorts of direct losses, as their health or finances have been compromised. Others felt an emotional toll, from fear or mistrust.
