Lifestyle Trends Writer
Are you a writer who lives and breathes wellness and lifestyle trends? Do you know your REM from your BMI? Do you have a love for surfacing and creating stories you would want to share with your friends? Are weekend hours A-OK in your book?
HuffPost Lifestyle is looking for a full-time writer who can file engaging stories and clean copy that appeals to anyone who is trying to live a better life. The ideal candidate understands how wellness intersects with all aspects of living, from food to travel, home, relationships, style and personal growth.

RESPONSIBLITIES
- Writing stories and producing highly shareable and engaging content in the lifestyle space, with an emphasis on wellness topics, including nutrition, sleep and the connection between mind and body.
- Surfacing great viral ideas from social media, news and wellness communities
- Staying on top of lifestyle and wellness trends
- Packaging your great stories for the web, social media and mobile platforms
REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of experience in online journalism
- 5-day work schedule overlaps with weekends
- Familiarity with top lifestyle and health and wellness sites, curious mind with an energetic view on everyday life
- Adept at using social media platforms including Pinterest, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter and Facebook
- Ability to work at a fast pace and contribute to a large, tight-knit team
- Keen sense for mixing video, print, images and other assets to produce engaging storytelling experiences
- Killer headline skills
- Ability to file multiple times a day
- Multimedia talent a major plus!
- Can be located in New York City or Los Angeles
- This position is in the WGA-E bargaining unit
