Hugh Hefner To Piers Morgan: Split Was Not A Publicity Stunt, 'You Couldn't Write It Like This'

Was Hefner's Split A Sham?

After Hugh Hefner's ex-fiancee, Crystal Harris reached her now infamous runaway bunny status for ditching her Lothario groom just days before their backyard Playboy mansion wedding, accusations of foul play and gone too far publicity stunts flooded the rumor mills. But after sitting down with Piers Morgan to talk about the day he was nearly left at the alter, Hefner admits that he was just as clueless when it came to Harris' cut and run tactics as the rest of us.

"I didn't see it coming, I truly didn't see it coming," he told Morgan.

Immediately after Hefner and Harris announced their split, both the 24-year-old blonde bombshell and the original Playboy continued to promote Harris' new tune, "Club Queen" via Twitter -- which was coincidentally released the same day Harris ran out on her groom.

Although Harris was no longer queen of the Playboy mansion, Hefner's seeming indifference to his mildly broken heart had more than a few skeptics wondering if the break-up had been previously planned as some sort of launch to Harris' singing career.

But we're not sure Hefner is that good of an actor -- in his interview with Morgan, Hefner recalls the morning that, unbeknownst to him, Harris began packing her bags after raising some hesitation the night before about their impending nuptials.
