Humans And Apes Battle To The Death In 'War For The Planet Of The Apes'

The movie is the third installment in the resurrected “Apes” franchise.

”Planet of the Apes” is back and better than ever in the third installment of the recently rebooted franchise.

The trailer for Matt Reeve’s “War for the Planet of the Apes” premiered Friday and the storyline is the same ― humans are still at war with the apes. Andy Serkis is the voice of Caesar, leader of the apes, who faces off against Woody Harrelson, who plays the Colonel.

“Caesar, who has had a love for human beings, is now tested beyond measure,” Serkis said, via USA Today. “The losses of the apes on his side drive him to a really dark place.”

The latest movie follows 2011’s “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” and 2014’s “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

Look for the film when it hits theaters July 14, 2017.
