Finally -- finally! -- pledges all over the world can rejoice: the first full "Hunger Games" trailer has been revealed.
It's been one of the most deliberate rollout campaigns in recent film memory, with posters, teasers and magazine covers building up excitement for the big screen adaptation of the first book in Suzanne Collins' teen dystopia book franchise. Now, with a March release date growing closer, the studio has allowed its fans an extended glimpse into the world of death matches, romance and survival, with the trailer debuting on "Good Morning America."
Jennifer Lawrence, already an Oscar nominee, is the star here, playing Katniss, a youngster who competes in the Hunger Games, a nationally televised tournament to the death. In photos already released, we've glimpsed snaps of Lawrence, along with Josh Hutcherson, who plays fellow competitor Peeta, and Liam Hemsworth, who plays Katniss's friend Gale.
The rest of the cast includes Elizabeth Banks as Katniss' guide Effie Trinket, Stanley Tucci as Caesar Flickerman, Donald Sutherland as President Snow and Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy.
