With high-profile friends such as Jack Nicholson and Johnny Depp and high-profile films such as 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' and 'Where the Buffalo Roam,' the father of gonzo journalism continues to inspire filmmakers more than a half decade after his death. Case in point: 'Prisoner of Denver,' one of Thompson's final projects, is reportedly on its way to a theater near you.
