Does Music Have A Color?

Does music have a color? Pharrell Williams' loosely defined social project i am OTHER sets out to answer this question by interviewing black and white residents of neighborhoods across Brooklyn. The topic is part one of a series called "Stereotypes," created by artist/filmmaker RAE and hosted by Ryan Hall, that aims to challenge our assumptions about race and appearance.

In episode one, Hall makes Brooklynites alternately uncomfortable, indignant and amused with his line of questioning on whether music can be classified as black or white. As we soon discover, the answer has more shades than the question.
