I Can't Believe I Ate That!

Intuitive eating means learning to eat because you're physically hungry, not emotionally hungry because you are tired, bored, angry, depressed, or wanting connection. It's a powerful reworking of your relationship to weight loss, your body, how you deal with your emotions, as well as your relationship with food and eating.

The past two days I was constantly surrounded by sugar.

Not only did I have a baby shower to attend, but a birthday party to go to, plus visits with two other girlfriends that I love.

In the past my mind would have been consumed by the food that was being offered, "Is it going to make me fat?" "I can't believe I just ate that," "Tomorrow I won't eat to make up for the calories," "I will exercise again tonight to burn off what I just ate," and more.

It was exhausting and honestly, being consumed with the Diet Mentality thoughts made it impossible for me to ever be truly present with my friends.

It's not like that anymore for me and it feels like a wave of relief to be able to get my "real hungers" satisfied, those of intimacy, friendship, bonding, and connection.

When I learned to stop emotional eating and eating uncontrollably, it changed my life.

You can stop too, it's not out of your reach, even if you have tried thousands of times in the past and never succeeded.

The important thing is that you realize that the Diet Mentality will keep you in Diet Prison. To cure the Diet Mentality, you need to change your mindset. With my clients I help them release the deprivation/restriction conversation, and teach them skills, which we call intuitive eating.

It will get you empowered again (whew, what a relief!).

You need to start somewhere, so I mapped out three easy steps for you to concentrate on right away:

3 Simple Steps to Break the Diet Mentality

1) The first step is to get clarity on what your beliefs are that have been holding you back from being slim and happy.

2) Once you realize what those restricting beliefs are, it's time to turn them around. This means reprogramming your mind. An easy way to do this is put a rubber band on your wrist and every time you catch yourself having a negative thought such as, "Weight loss never works for me," immediately SNAP that rubber band and replace the thought with a positive one. For example, "I'm excited to feel light in my body and I will do what it takes to make that happen!"

3) The third step is get support so you don't get in your own way. To get real results it's important to stay in the conversation of transformation and growth... consistency is key!

I'm here to support you and make sure you succeed with your weight loss and health goals! Let's lose the holiday weight, before you even put it on!

All my holiday love,
Kerry
