Recently I was on a mission to find a dentist in my area. I had no name or address for this dentist just a location in an industrial park not familiar to me. I drove aimlessly around for perhaps 20 minutes or so (I'm a blonde). I stopped to ask if there were in fact a dental office, to no avail. I kept driving and happened to come upon a sign in front of a building with a cross like in M.A.S.H only green. I decided to go in to ask if they knew a dental practice in the complex. Well, to my surprise this storefront was a medicinal marijuana dispensary. The reception area was very posh and the receptionists lovely, young and hip looking, in a classy way. I need not say the smell was overwhelming. Upon realizing what I had stumbled upon I became somewhat paranoid and thought the place may be of a nefarious nature. I then asked if the Feds came around, they said no.

Ironically, it has been about two years since one of my many doctors wrote a script for my use of medicinal marijuana, I never asked for one, and never used it; I felt too intimidated then to be in a M-M Dispensary and am of an incredulous nature. My background with bone and brain mets has directed me to ER on at least 6 occasions for pain relief. These 9 years later with Stage IV Breast Cancer in these areas have been more exacerbated with pain than before.

Admittedly, I am no stranger to marijuana, it was all around me growing up but I seemed to have an austere attitude towards it then. I had smoked not long ago as opposed to going to the ER with another BC sister who has since passed. I had no idea this would culminate into such an indescribable event, the instant calmness and complete relaxation that takes place and no thoughts of pain. I'll trade it for my arsenal of drugs a "junkie" would steal any day! I hate drugs and was on the Fentanyl patch for some time, I pulled it off and never went back.

Now I have been inducted into the medical marijuana family and have my ID. A physicia checked me, explained the 3 types of marijuana, Indica (cannabidiol) nighttime, Sativa (Tetrahydrocannabinol) daytime and hybrids the combination.

It was written by Matt Ferner of the Huffington Post that Marijuana Compounds Can Kill Some Cancer Cells and I believe it.

Rick Simpson, a medical marijuana activist providing folks with information on hemp oil cured himself of metastatic skin cancer in 2003 and to this day is devoted to the truth of this concentrated cannabis oil. Naturally, Rick has met a great amount of opposition from various health agencies, which I am totally in abhorrence of! I will be investigating this oil for myself.

I'm NOT endorsing medicinal marijuana but why be in pain and on heavy drugs if you don't have to be?

With my busy lifestyle (and not willing to surrender to my disease), being blogger, writer, philanthropist, cancer advocate, animal rights advocate, my fashion business, decorating and time with my large loving family and my dear friends: "I HAVEN"T GOT TIME FOR THE PAIN"!

Until next time

Peace,

N~
