Name: Vanessa Rabb
Age: 25
Height: 5'7"
Before Weight: 220 pounds

How I Gained It: Eating poorly and never exercising. As I got older, I no longer had school sports and my mom to cook my meals. I would eat chips, hot dogs, candy, all types of fast food, soda, white bread, white rice, white flour and addictive boxes of processed foods.

Breaking Point: I went to the doctor, and she said I had high blood pressure. I was used to always having perfect health. My skin was taking a toll with large marks all over my body. I also wanted to join the military, but I had to lose more weight first.

How I Lost It: I start by jogging on the treadmill and then running daily. It hurt my knees, and I was always out of breath. I knew I had a long way to go to get the level that I was used to when I played sports in high school and college. I read Dr. Dan Colbert's book "Toxic Relief," which taught me what foods I should and should not eat. I also started doing yoga at least once a week. I had to learn to make better decisions and to make these decisions for myself. Now I am doing belly dance classes to tone up some more. I feel a good energy throughout my body. I feel relief from stress, and my body feels rejuvenated. A runner's high is definitely the best part about exercising, especially if you do it outside on a very nice day.

I get a lot of compliments on my appearance. People say I look healthier and leaner. They like to ask me how I lost the weight and what tips I can give them. A lot of family, friends and co-workers tell me how proud they are of me.

After Weight: 150 pounds
