"I Thought Obama Would Get Me Laid": New Site Parodies Obama Voter Disappointment

Barack Obama has been president-elect for a month and even though John McCain compared him to Moses, he has yet to fix the economy, bring the troops home and prove Santa Claus exists. If you've found yourself griping in the past month, you're not alone. In fact, Jonah Green, co-creator of the new site I Thought Obama Would Get Me Laid found himself speaking those words during a conversation with a friend.

"He's been president-elect for a month and already he's failed to do all the magical things we expected him to do," Green said in a phone interview. "Like abolish sadness."

Green started the site with his friends Samantha Henig and Jess Zimmerman. With the help of another friend with web programming skills, they modeled the site on Barack Obama Is Your New Bicycle.

"That website was about the unrealistic expectations put on him and ours is about the fact that we're immediately disappointed," Green said. "This is a clear response to it."

Green says that he, Henig and Zimmerman plan to make updates to the site as Obama continues to disappoint them in new ways.
