Once again, we have to take our cooking hats off to Reddit. However, this time, it's not for bravely sharing meatloaf fails, cake fails or a GIF of the scariest candy we've ever seen. This time, it's for ice cream bread.
It turns out that ice cream bread is a bit of an Internet sensation right now, so we'll probably have to pick a flavor and just make it. Reddit user airforce husband took the plunge, mixing a pint of softened ice cream with 1 1/2 cups of self-rising flour. Bake for 45 minutes, and somehow, you have bread. How's it taste? "Much less sweet that I would have imagined with an entire pint of ice cream in there!"
Check out the rest of airforcehusband's tips and tricks in the original Reddit thread -- where you'll also find someone who suggests using melted ice cream as batter to make Ice Cream Bread French Toast. We hope your heads didn't explode when we said that.
