Let me share with you what my eyebrow shaving, back talking, sarcastic, pain in the butt, know it all, little fool son said to me. Honestly, he can be such a 10-year-old sometimes and those are the moments I don't always choose to share with you, but believe me they happen! They happen WAY too often. So,when he does say or do something that makes me happy, that I'm proud of or reminds me I'm doing something right I like to share with everyone. What I like most about sharing is that when I run into one of my Facebook friends, they will ask about or remind me about something my son did or said. They are my back up memory. Thank you for being my back up memory. It always puts a smile on my face to be reminded of these wonderful things. Now, why would I post all the back talking, smart mouthing, sarcastic, pain in the butt, know it all moments? I see no need to back these moments up. I have already learned from them. I will always remember them. Please don't feel the need to remind me of them. Just to be sure I will limit sharing those things on Facebook.

Here is one of those stories I hope you ask me about or remind me of: My office is having a big Gala Award Celebration and I mentioned to the owner of the company that I was disappointed I wouldn't be able to make it because I didn't have a sitter. She graciously invited my son to come with me. (She's awesome like that) Tonight my son asked what time we are leaving tomorrow for the Gala. I told him we probably won't be going because it's kind of far and we'd get home too late. He said we have to go. He is looking forward to showing me off. I told him that I am not expecting to get an award at this event. He looked at me and said, "Mom, you don't need to get an award for me to show you off." This to me is better than any award including the Nobel Peace Prize. (Well, Nobel Peace Prize is a close 2nd). I love this kid. Please remind me of this next time you see me because it may be one of those days I need reminding. Please share with me and your friends stories that make you happy, proud and make you smile. We want to remind you and ask you about them when we see you. Your stories make us happy, proud and smile too. This is why I share those stories.
