"Hot Faucet" Oil on Linen 20 x 20 in. There used to be a flea market where there is now a shopping mall in Marin City, in between Mill Valley and Sausalito in northern California. In the late 1970s my mother would take us there and teach us how to bargain. She would also buy sets of faucets that would be scattered on tables along with other vintage hardware. I don't know what she did with the colds. But she would take the hots and add a chain and turn them into necklaces. That's what is hanging on her neck in this painting. http://www.kimberlybrooks.com
