Instead of joining the masses at every major retailer on Black Friday, this year Improv Everywhere proved that even the smallest store can generate major media buzz -- even if they aren't having a sale.
Starting early on Friday morning, Charlie Todd and 100 of his merry pranksters made it look as if they had camped outside of a dollar store in Manhattan, confusing and delighting passersby and making one small business owner very happy. The icing on the cake? A fake NBC news reporter on the scene to make the frenzy seem legit.
