In-N-Out Burger's Singapore Pop-Up Sells Out In 5 Minutes

Who knew Singaporeans had such a taste for In-N-Out Burger? A recent pop-up staged by the company sold out in an astounding five minutes.

The Irvine, Calif.-based fast food chain had decided to organize a pop-up event in the Southeast Asian city-state between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. It was one of several In-N-Out pop-ups taking place around the world in recent months as the company tests global waters. Other cities have included Sydney, Australia; Tokyo, Japan; and Seoul, South Korea.

But customers began lining up at 9:30 a.m., and in a matter of minutes all 300 available wristbands were passed out.

InSing.com tells us that the chain offered its standard menu of fries, shakes and burgers, plus the Double Double, Animal Style and Protein Style burgers.

Yahoo spoke with pop-up-goer Xavier Teo, who was lucky enough to snag a wristband.

"I would say the taste was 80 per cent of how it is back in the States... but it's still better than the burger joints in Singapore. They kinda skimped on the goods, and the patties were a little smaller but it was still worth the 1-and-a-half-hour wait," he said.

CNNGo reports that the chain has no plans to open a permanent restaurant in Singapore, but as the publication suggests, perhaps that should be reconsidered.
