Here at Black Tomato, we've spent the past week fast-forwarding winter, dreaming of our favourite destinations for spring.

Topping our list of the ultimate unusual seasonal experience has to be Japan.

OnFebruary 3rd the joyful festival of Setsubun unfolded across Japan, marking the period preceding a change in season. This means (in Japan at least) winter has loosened its grip and spring (Risshun) is almost upon us. Come March, the entire country will be awash with pastel pink petals as the cherry trees burst into bloom. And quite frankly, we just can't wait.
