Cuban Sisters, Ina Jenner and Gloria Gonzales, Reunite With Long-Lost Sibling, Rosa Llorca, 6 Decades Later (VIDEO)

This was no ordinary family reunion.

On Tuesday, Cuban sisters Ina Jenner and Gloria Gonzales saw their sibling, Rosa Llorca, for the first time in roughly six decades.

Jenner and Gonzales were able to move to the U.S. from Cuba in the early 1950s, according to KPLR. But when Fidel Castro came to power in 1959, Llorca was unable to follow.

With borders closed and communication impossible, the sisters never got the chance to reconnect -- until now. And even after 61 years of separation, Llorca, now 83, was still able to recognize her older sister.

“You recognized me but I didn’t recognize you,” Gonzales said to Llorca in KPLR's footage of the reunion.

Now, thanks to Llorca's 5-year visa, the sisters will be able to make up for lost time.

Other unbelievable sibling reunions have taken place this year. In January, two Bosnian sisters who were separated during World War II found each other after 72 years thanks to Facebook.

Two Guatemalan brothers who lost touch with each other in their attempts to flee the civil war 31 years ago finally reunited this July.
