IndieReader, the consumer guide to self-published books and the people who write them, is hosting a day of free ebook downloads to introduce consumers to the winners of its 2016 IR Discovery Awards (IRDAs). Downloads (an estimated $200 value) will be available starting at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15 through 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 16. All free books, along with author interviews, book samples, trailers and more will be available at www.indiereader.com/irda2016.

IR created the Discovery Awards to give indie authors access to people who can make a difference in their book's success. While writing a great book is the first step, getting it in front of the right people is also a critical part of making an indie book a success. To that end, judges on the IRDA panel included publishers, PR professionals, top industry bloggers and more.

The top six winners (whose books are featured in the slides below) will have their titles submitted to top New York literary agents Dystal & Goderich for representation consideration. There are additionally winners in 26 sub-categories. Judging is based on the quality of writing and the originality of the story.

"Offering these award-winning ebooks for free allows readers the opportunity to discover how great self- published books can be," said IR Founder Amy Edelman. "More than ever, it is the reader's opinion which counts the most."
