It is no secret that the popularity of tattoos has been steadily increasing over the last few decades. According to a 2006 American Society of Dermatological Surgery survey, 24 percent of Americans between the ages of 18 and 50 have a tattoo. What once people felt the need to cover up, has now become, for the most part, an integral part of society. Case and point? The 14th Annual New York City Tattoo Convention. Thousands flocked to the event that took place inside NYC's Roseland Ballroom. Around 75 vendors were said to be on-site for the convention and while some visitors were just looking around, many opted for more ink.
