While Matt Drudge continues to hyperventilate about the X super'd on Dick Cheney's face during CNN coverage (for one-fifteenth of a second!), TV Newser offers what sounds like the actual technical explanation for what happened. Unless Matt is channeling Vance ("The Hidden Persuaders") Packard, who argued in the 1950s that advertisers were using subliminal messages ("eat popcorn") to control us, this would seem to end the matter, even before midweek.
