Here is a typical morning that I know so many face...

Hit the snooze button. Make and proceed to gulp down 1+ coffee/tea. Shower. Check phone while eating breakfast on autopilot. Get dressed. Head out the door amongst the bustling crowds, traffic, etc. or in your home office, where you get down to the grind of the day for your work.

But what is your intention?

What if you tried fitting an intention in this routine as the first thing you do upon waking?

By acknowledging how you desire to feel, you can enter any situation with a whole new sense of being -- even as you're simply drinking your cup of joe, stuck in traffic, or throughout your working.

When you get clear on how you want to feel, you can make clear decisions that create the life you truly desire to live. The moment you tap into the feeling, you get your power back.

It's all about embodying your intention.

So when you open your eyes, ask yourself: "How do I want to feel?"

Is it to feel... loved? Wholesome? Nurtured? Like a Rockstar?

Choose the one that permeates your being (cue sultry voice) -- "Oo, yes that is exactly how I want to feel."

You just know it.

Let's say you want to feel nurtured for the day and a friend asks you to get drinks. This is how an internal conversation might go down when you use an intention:

"Is saying yes to this invitation going to make me feel nurtured?"

"Hmm... drinks, which probably means I'm going to have a hangover tomorrow and I'll end up eating nachos or fries that I really don't want to do."

"Okay if I want to feel nurtured, this is most likely not going to make me feel this."

"Now that I see this I know I can feel good about saying no and even offer another way of spending time together with her."

"I think I'm going to choose to say no for drinks tonight and offer a time later in the week when we can get tea and have a nice walk in the afternoon."

BOOM. You used your inner GPS system -- your intention -- to make your most empowered decision and showed up for yourself all at the same time. GO YOU!

Getting bombed off of a bottle of wine and mindlessly eating a plate of nachos isn't going to be hard to say no to anymore.

Instead, you'll come away feeling empowered and having even more energy to do something you love and potentially empowering your friend as well.

Starting your day with an intention will leave you willing and available to say "no" to what is not serving you in your life.

In the video below, I go more in-depth about this topic and share an awesome metaphor to be the tender of your life.

Using an intention every day is life-changing, because you have an amazing tool to use for the rest of your life. Even if you slip up or feel the struggle, you'll always have something to fall back on.
