The benefits of trusting your gut at work

When you use intuitive skills in the workplace, you gain practical and useful information that can quickly be put into action to improve your ability to:
  • Fine-tune your vision
  • Open up to new ideas
  • Build teamwork
  • Hear the voice of caution
Fine-Tune Your Vision
Your intuition will help you identify your own sense of mission and purpose, as opposed to what you "should" be doing, or what others may expect you to do. This is critical to moving yourself or your organization forward.

Open Up to New Ideas
When you learn to identify, challenge and eventually change your subconscious beliefs, you can begin to free yourself from self-defeating behaviours, in order to unleash your true potential. Intuitive techniques bring great insight and allow you to change direction, if need be, to grasp that winning business idea.

Build Teamwork
Intuition can assist you with assembling a team and inspiring them to work cohesively to find solutions. You understand when something is off or when people are not feeling part of the team; don't ignore this. Use your intuition to fix it and get your team back in performance mode.

Hear the Voice of Caution
Have you ever disregarded a "feeling" or "sensation" and later regretted your decision? When people describe bad things that have happened to them, very often you'll hear them say, "I should have listened to my gut..." That's your intuition trying to steer you out of danger. Frequently, people override these warnings to follow convention; or, they might ignore them out of simple politeness. The business world is full of etiquette and unspoken rules, but when your intuition sends you warning signals, you ignore them at your peril.
