A rare waterspout was spotted swirling like a narrow rope over a lake in Iowa on Thursday.
The vortex whipped through the air for just 10 minutes before it dissipated, the Omaha World-Herald reported. No injuries were reported.
“It looked like a rat tail coming out of the sky,” one witness told the newspaper.
The phenomenon occurred Lake Manawa near Council Bluffs, Iowa, and could also be seen from downtown Omaha, Nebraska, according to NBC affiliate WOWT.
