Apple's New iPad Ad: Dud Or Done Right? (VIDEO)

New iPad Ad Claims Tablet Is 'Already A Revolution' (VIDEO): Love It Or Leave It?

Apple has received a lot of praise for its marketing--it's even been cited as the secret to Apple's success--but does the latest iPad ad measure up?

The a 30-second commercial is littered with clues at how "hip" Apple wants its product to seem. There's the iPad next to a basket of what looks like farmer's market produce. Atop a bright blue Vespa. Next to beat-up Keds sneakers. In the hands of a guy in boat shoes over a fire escape.

The language of the ad is characteristically effusive and littered with over-the-top adjectives like "beautiful," "magical," and "crazy powerful:"

What is iPad? iPad is thin. iPad is beautiful. iPad goes anywhere and lasts all day. There's no right way or wrong way. It's crazy powerful. It's magical. You already know how to use it. It's two hundred thousands apps and counting. All the world's websites in your hands. It's video, photos, more books than you could read in a lifetime. It's already a revolution and it's only just begun.

Apple claims the iPad is "revolutionary"--but is the ad? Is it a dud or was it "done right?" How do you think it compares to Apple's previous commercials for the iPhone and iPod? Vote below!
