iPhone 5 Pre-Order: What Time On September 14 Can You Reserve Your New Device?

What Time Can You Pre-Order Your iPhone 5?

Start brewing the coffee now, Apple zealots. The company will start taking pre-orders of the iPhone 5 at 12:01 a.m. (PT) on September 14.

Apple confirmed the start time to Wired by email.

Unfortunately, this means that Americans who don't live on the Pacific coast will have to stay up even later. For those on the east coast (like us here at The Huffington Post), you'll be waiting for a 3 a.m. opening time to place your pre-order.

The three major networks that carry the iPhone -- AT&T, Verizon and Sprint -- each also confirmed the same preorder start time -- or nearly the same. Verizon promised to start placing orders at exactly midnight (PT).

Current iPhone owners on any of those carriers can go to this page on Apple's website to see if they're eligible for a discount on an upgrade.
