Iran Invasion Would Be a Disaster

There's growing talk in Washington these days about invading Iran.

It's not front and center -- yet. But there are folks in Washington building an under-the-radar case for an invasion right now, so I'm not waiting to speak out.

I recorded a video laying out my opposition to invading Iran. Will you watch it and sign my petition to join the opposition?

America needs to step up its game in order to overcome the immense challenges we face. We need people in Washington who are putting country before party, not the other way around.

We can start by stepping up our game on foreign policy. I've had plenty of opportunity to see what it takes to defend our country serving as a Navy SEAL in Vietnam, serving on the Senate Intelligence Committee and serving on the 9/11 Commission -- and I can tell you that one of the best ways to defend our future is to avoid repeating the mistakes from our past.

Three trillion dollars for Afghanistan and Iraq. Six thousand Americans dead.

I think invading Iran will make Iraq and Afghanistan look like a cakewalk.

There are 80 million people living in Iran. If we were undersized with 250,000 men and women going into Iraq, it's going to take a million to go to war with Iran.

That's a mistake we just can't afford to make.
