Is That A Drone In Your Pocket Or Are You Just Happy To See Me?

What do we carry around in our pockets? Keys? Check. Phone? Of course. Drone that records HD video? Welcome to the new world!

Pocket Drone from Odyssey Toys Is Not Your Standard Drone

As a self-professed drone geek, it takes a lot to make me say "Wow!" when I see a new drone. The Pocket Drone ($99) from Odyssey is definitely one of those special drones. At about the size and shape of a smartphone, it does not look like something that could fly. Fold out the arms, twist up the propellors and suddenly you have a video drone that shoots 720p HD video and is relatively easy to fly.

The Only Downside, You Need to Keep Your Flights Short

The Pocket Drone fits in your pocket, is easy to fly and records HD video - so is it the perfect travel drone? There is one downside to having such a portable drone, the battery life is very limited. You are looking at about 6 minutes of fly time before you need to recharge it (takes about 40 minutes).

If the short battery life is not a deal breaker for you, the Pocket Drone is an excellent choice when you need an easy to fly, fun to operate, affordable and highly portable HD video drone.
