My uncle told me this years ago, and I haven't stopping laughing since.

This take on success is both hilarious and poignant. When it comes to a dream, I'm convinced, there's no doubt it will be realized. There's only one variable: when.

True dreamers don't get discouraged easily. After all, it took Thomas Edison 10,000 tries before he could invent the light bulb. He was never discouraged by the process. In fact, he was known for saying: "I just found 10,000 ways it didn't work."

Helen Keller, who was blind and deaf, overcame insurmountable odds to communicate.

Oprah Winfrey was once poor and now she's a billionaire.

Albert Einstein didn't talk until he was four but later revolutionized science.

I'm grateful for my uncle and his unstoppable spirit. He was spot on when he said: "It takes a long time to be an overnight success."
