Itβs hard not to love Issa Raeβs Golden Globe-nominated HBO series βInsecureβ β even if youβre President Barack Obama.
Rae found a new fan in POTUS when she and co-star Yvonne Orji attended the White House Christmas Party on Friday. As Obama went down the line greeting guests, Orji wrote on Instagram he stopped to hold Rae and Orjiβs hands and tell them how much he βloves what women are doing in the creative space.β He spoke to them βat length,β Rae tweeted, about how much he loved the show and the soundtrack. Of course, the duo freaked out in the best way possible.
βPresident Obama watches βInsecureβ, he said he canβt quote none of it until after heβs president,β Rae said in a video posted by writer Luvvie, who was also in attendance. βHe said our soundtrack is lit. He said weβre doing great work.β
Orjie followed up and said, βEverything we wouldβve loved for him to say, he said it.β
Orji also posted a video of Obama talking to them followed by their joyous shrieks.
Rae and Orji capped their epic White House visit by slaying the βgram with this flawless photo.
Who else is ready for season two?
