It's Time for Washington to Get Out of Bed With the Wahhabists Saudis

Terrorism will never be defeated if it continues to be supported by Wahhabists who speak with forked tongue and who share absolutely nothing in common with us. They and their American enablers are the problem.

When is enough, enough? Another day, another terrorist attack?

How is it possible that the United States is an "ally" with a regime as brutal as Assad that refuses to stop spreading its hateful, misogynistic anti-secular Wahhabists ideology all over the world (hereandhere)? And, how is it that We the People of the United States, a beacon of democracy throughout the world are tolerating a Congress who have been shamefully silent on this medieval self-anointed "royal family" of Islamic extremist bankrollers and terrorist enablers?

The problem lies in this administration's insistence on telling Americans that Saudi Arabia is an ally of ours. This is pure fiction and very dangerous. They are the power behind the Wahhabist ideology machine who fund radical mosques all over the world, spreading their hatred of us shared by all of the Islamic terrorist groups. They are the primary cause of Wahhabist-inspired terrorism, including the attacks of 9/11 with the murder of almost 3,000 Americans as well as the death cult of ISIS. Yes - Saudi Arabia and ISIS share the same hateful extremist ideology, not just with al Qaeda.

Patrick Cockburn, Middle East correspondent for the Financial Times and the Independent describes the "Wahhabization" of Sunni Islam as one of the most dangerous developments of the era." Longtime Saudi financial support for this ideology and its adherents is a well-known fact to Congress and the White House, but so many are happy to shamelessly take their political contributions (otherwise known as "graft").

How many members of Congress are benefiting from the largesse of these extremist zealots? How much Saudi money have the candidates accepted from their PACs? The Clintons are stuffed with their endless stream of Saudi money (and here). So are the Bushes (also here and here). They don't care - and neither do the candidates, except Bernie Sanders who does not accept PAC money.

Like an octopus, Saudi money is wrapped around the body politic of Washington, thanks to their army of amoral lobbyists, lawyers and PR firms only too willing to take their money regardless of its impact on and outcome for Americans and promote their propaganda. They and those in Congress willing to be bought by the Saudis are today's Nazi collaborators of the 21st century - on the payroll of those who hold Christians, Jews, atheists and secular Muslims in blood-splattered contempt for all our religions, secularity and imperfect way of life. That money has influenced, corrupted and compromised our safety, our Government and therefore many of the foreign policy decisions the President and Congress make in our name that affect us right now and will for generations to come.

Former Senator Bob Graham (D-FLA), co-chair of the Congressional Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Community Activities before and after the Terrorist Attacks of September 11, 2001 has publicly pleaded for the declassification of 28 Bush-redacted pages from that investigation he and many others claim implicate Saudi Arabia in the financing and enabling of the murder of almost 3,000 on 9/11. Who would know better? After all, he and his team wrote those pages. Is anyone listening? Do all Americans really believe it will never happen to them?

It is time for President Obama, his administration and all of Congress to stop lying to us about who is on our side and to stop selling arms to Saudi Arabia. During his administration, Obama has proudly allowed the sale of $90 billion so far, promoting "jobs." Who knows how much more is in the pipeline? By not calling a spade a spade, this administration and Congress are protecting the very cause behind the terrorism that threatens us. It also condones Saudi brutality and their war in Yemen. Congress has a short memory. They have forgotten that on 9/11, THEY were the target of the hijackers. Next time, they may not be so lucky.

Today, Saudi Arabia has 150,000 ground troops fighting in Yemen and none fighting ISIS. Yet, we are told the opposite - lied to by them and our elected officials. WE are fighting ISIS but they are in Yemen, not fighting the real enemy that threatens the free world. Their propaganda machine has created the myth for our elected officials to tell us that they, Saudi Arabia, are as much at risk from ISIS as America and so far, it has worked.

The one lone voice from a candidate, Bernie Sanders recently said, "Saudi Arabia has the 3rd largest defense budget in the world, yet instead of fighting ISIS they have focused more on a campaign to oust Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen", and further, "Kuwait, a country whose ruling family was restored to power by U.S. troops after the first Gulf War, has been a well-known source of financing for ISIS and other violent extremists. It has been reported that Qatar will spend $200 billion on the 2022 World Cup, including the construction of an enormous number of facilities to host that event - $200 billion on hosting a soccer event, yet very little to fight against ISIS."

Where the hell is Congress on this deception? And we're actually supposed to trust these people?

While in France last week, President Obama insisted that President Assad of Syria must go because he has brutalized his own people. But it is outrageous that he has never publicly faulted Saudi Arabia's abysmal human rights record, let alone their ties to terrorism funding and anti-Western ideology (see Hillary Clinton's State Department cable).

Therefore, it is ok to behead and crucify (headless) people by the hundreds, if you are Saudi Arabia? Sure - if you are a member of Congress with your hand out. It is ok to stone to death a female adulterer, behead a poet, whip people to death - and all as gruesome publics spectacles?²º Since when did all this become ok for America? What's the difference between Assad and Salman or ISIS when it comes to human rights abuses?

Only Americans can put a stop to this reprehensible Saudi-coddling and fake ally-pimping once and for all. Do something now. Contact your members of Congress and tell them that they must stop accepting Saudi and Gulf State money, give it back or resign. Tell President Obama and Congress to let all Americans see what is contained in those 28 pages. By withholding them from us, our own Government is complicit in 9/11 and moreover, what is unfolding all over the world. Remind President Obama that after he leaves office, he will share the same Saudi legacy as George Bush, perhaps including their contributions for the Obama library.

Wake up America. We are already paying dearly for this corruption and deception. Soon, we may get another Saudi-coddling-ass-kissing president beholden to the inspiration behind the 9/11 attacks on the US. Terrorism will never be defeated if it continues to be supported by Wahhabists who speak with forked tongue and who share absolutely nothing in common with us. They and their American enablers are the problem. The duplicitous Saudis and their feckless US Government and lobbyist pimps must go and go now!
