Ivanka Trump, President Donald Trump’s daughter and adviser, visited Godfrey, Illinois on Thursday to bring attention to vocational training. While there, she toured the Weber Workforce Center, saw a demonstration of welding, then donned safety equipment and gave it a shot herself on a “reality augmented” welding station.

“How’s my hair?” Ivanka Trump asked after she pulled off her helmet, per The Telegraph.
Twitter wasn’t amused:
That's a good job for you Ivanka you got to take welding classes I understand they give those in prison maybe you and your dad could team up and become welders.

It has been posed on twitter that Ivanka is practicing welding and asked if this could work on prison bars. pic.twitter.com/1yh70l8YwA

Hey Ivanka, maybe they can weld some shoes for you.

We know how much the Trumps support USA manufacturers...cause they make ALL trump crap in foreign sweat shops.
But good try.
And for some comic relief today: Ivanka Trump welding ... well, I suppose if that 'senior advisor to the president' gig dries out she will always have welding .... https://t.co/rUwbqNsaI6

Your tariffs are killing jobs across the country, particularly in the heartland. No amount of PR or junkets to Illinois can change that.

How about getting kids out of cages

The welding jobs in prison only go to inmates who don't betray their country, Princess.

What qualifications does she have to speak on this? I had to interview for jobs; never did Daddy install me in a job. I had to earn the right to have the job.

Did she wear a 10,000 dollar welding suit?
— wazzucoug99 (@wazzucoug99) August 8, 2018
Odd, I would think she would be more interested in cutting torches to free her family in a few months
