Journalists use Twitter -- a lot. For that, co-founder Jack Dorsey is grateful.

In a storm of tweets, Dorsey celebrated the social network’s ninth birthday on Saturday by thanking the reporters and editors who helped turn the site from a stream of 140-character updates to a river of news and commentary.
