'Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa' Trailer Allows Johnny Knoxville To Reprise Irving Zisman Gags

'Jackass' Returns With Big Twist

The trailer for the fourth theatrical "Jackass" installment finds Johnny Knoxville donning his geriatric Irving Zisman getup for more mindless gags. "Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa" focuses on Irving's cross-country road-trip shenanigans with his 8-year-old grandson. Expect more of the usual injury-inducing gimmicks and offensive subtext that are hallmarks in the "Jackass" series.

The movie received an unexpected release date a couple of weeks ago, when fans discovered that it was finished and ready to replace the delayed "Paranormal Activity 5" on the fall release calendar. "Bad Grandpa" will hit theaters Oct. 25.

Each of the first three "Jackass" entries led to modest commercial success, particularly given their relatively small budgets. The first was made for $5 million but grossed nearly $80 million worldwide, while 2006's "Jackass Number Two" managed to set the record for highest-grossing October opening weekend -- at least until "Paranormal Activity 3" stole the title the following year. "Jackass 3D," released in 2010 with a $20 million budget, took home $170 million worldwide.
