Jackson Jeffcoat TEXAS Bound: Picks UT Over Oklahoma, Houston

Texas' top ranked player Jackson Jeffcoat has chosen Texas for college, announcing his commitment to the Longhorns football program today.

Jeffcoat turned down Oklahoma, where his twin sister will play basketball, and Houston, where his father Jim is an assistant coach.

The Plano West defensive end made his choice known at a press conference this morning. Jeffcoat's father Jim Jeffcoat played 15 years in the NFL.

The younger Jeffcoat was ranked the nation's top defensive end high school prospect.

Jeffcoat was previously considering Arizona, Florida and South Carolina before narrowing to the three schools above, and ultimately chose Texas.
