When Jacob Cunningham was arrested Feb. 29 in Trinity County, Texas, he expressed his displeasure with the situation by sticking out his tongue during the mug shot.
Deputies arrested Cunningham, 38, during a routine traffic stop of a vehicle in which he was a passenger, according to the Houston Chronicle.
Police said they discovered narcotics on Cunningham during the stop, according to KPRC 2, a Houston NBC affiliate. Trinity County Sheriff Woody Wallace said that one of the arresting officers used a Taser on the suspect during the arrest.
Cunningham was booked on various charges including suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest.
He was taken to the Trinity County Jail, where he posed for the memorable mug shot.
Jail records show he was released on $12,500 bond on Saturday.
Tongue-out mug shots like Cunningham's appear from time to time, possibly because they're one of the very few means of rebellion available to the just-arrested.
Last April, DUI suspect Linda MacDonald showed the world she couldn't be licked after she was arrested in Vermont for crashing her Camry into a fence.
