WATCH: Ex-Nazi Still Living In Queens Despite Protests

Ninety-one-year-old Jakiw Palij, a former Nazi guard, is still living in his New York City home despite years protests outside his front door, and after efforts to deport him.

Palij, who immigrated to the U.S. from Poland, told The New York Post that he is starting to get used to the protests outside his Jackson Heights, Queens home.

Dov Hikind, a New York state assemblyman from Brooklyn, spoke at a rally outside of Palij's home on Sunday. "We're not going to let him live here peacefully when he took away the life of so many people," he said. "He's living in America, enjoying America, when he deprived thousands and thousands of men, women and children their life. They're not around anymore!"

Palij's American citizenship has already been revoked, but Poland does not want him to return, and no other nation seems willing to take in the elderly ex-Nazi, according to New York.

Palij claims he was forced into the German army as a young man, but that he never wore a S.S. uniform, and never worked inside a labor camp. "'They came and took me when I was 18,'' he told The New York Times in 2003. ''We knew they would kill me and my family if I refused. I did it to save their lives, and I never even wore a Nazi uniform. They made us wear gray guards' uniforms and had us guarding bridges and rivers.''
