James Corden's Apology To Baseball Hits It Out Of The Park

"And hey, baseball, how about I take you out to a ball game?"

Ripping on America’s national pastime has become one of James Corden’s pastimes on “The Late Late Show.”

But on Thursday the British host hilariously tried to make amends with baseball after the Cubs won the World Series for the first time since 1908.

“That’s so long ago, the 2016 election hadn’t even started yet,” he joked.

Then came apology time. “Last night I saw a different side of you, a side I liked,” he told baseball. “You gave me feelings.”

He had questions about the game, of course ― “Is that seriously the Indians’ logo? It feels racist” ― but ultimately he extended a more-than-friendly olive branch.

“And hey, baseball, how about I take you out to a ball game?”

Game on, baseball.
