The show must go on, even if you're well into your eighties. A few hit Broadway shows have octogenarian lead actors lighting up the stage, NBC reports. James Earl Jones and Angela Lansbury star in "The Best Man" this season, drawing crowds who don't care that both have surpassed their 80th birthdays. "Providing I can put one foot in front of the other, I will continue to act," Lansbury, 86, told NBC Nightly News correspondent Chris Janson.

Joel Grey, 80, continues to work, too, currently appearing in the Broadway revival of "Anything Goes."

As Janson observed, the mental challenge of memorizing lines and appearing on stage night after night seems to have kept these octogenarian performers fit and happy. And they give as good as they get: All three bring considerable star power, not to mention a well-honed craft, to their respective productions.

Watch the video above to hear more from Lansbury, Jones, 81, and Grey on continuing to perform on stage, plus clips from some of their career highlights.
