Actor Charlie Carver set tongues wagging when he described his " hot as hell" threesome scene with James Franco and Zachary Quinto in the forthcoming "I Am Michael," which premiered to great fanfare at the Sundance Film Festival, in a HuffPost Live interview last month.
In a candid "Watch What Happens Live" chat this week, Quinto opened up to host Andy Cohen about the much-buzzed-about love scene, and cheekily implied that this wasn't Franco's first man-on-man experience.
Quinto said that he and his co-stars kept their underpants on during the filming, and that the use of tongue was only "moderate."
Directed by Justin Kelly, "I Am Michael" is based on a New York Times Magazine piece titled "My Ex-Gay Friend." In it, Franco stars as controversial "ex-gay" activist Michael Glatze, and Quinto portrays his lover.
Of Franco's oft-discussed interest in queer roles and issues, Quinto previously told HuffPost Live, “My feeling about James, in particular, is that he’s someone who is really interested in generating a dialogue."
He added, "So I feel like putting it out there, and putting it out there in different ways, is something that’s interesting and something that I don’t think people should shy away from."
