James Harden had another great performance on Wednesday finishing with 33 points, 17 of which came from the free throw line, while shooting 58 percent from the field. But the most impressive play he made in leading Houston to its fourth win in five games came on an assist that left the Rockets announcers oohing and ahhing.
In the final minute of the third quarter, Harden drove into the paint and drew the attention of three Philadelphia defenders (hence the 17-18 from the foul line stat). One of those defenders was Spencer Hawes.
As teammate Greg Smith cut underneath the basket, Harden delivered a pass that went through Hawes' legs and into the forward's hands for an easy reverse layup.
The assist completely surprised Hawes and the Houston announcers as the Rockets extended their lead to 10. Harden finished with seven assists en route to a 125-103 win.
