James McVay's Robotic ‘MechBass' Performs Hysteria By Muse

James McVay, a student at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand, invented an incredible robotic bass playing machine he called "Mechbass" for his honors engineering project.

He wrote to Hackaday.com and explained the complicated construction details.

The video was released just before Thanksgiving and has nearly over 230,000 views. Singularity is near -- but will it take requests?
