James Weaver Arrested: Intoxicated Man Vandalizes City Hall

Drunken Man Smashes Windows Of City Hall

At about 4:30am on Tuesday morning, San Francisco City Hall security guards responded to a live surveillance camera feed that showed a man breaking the front door windows of the building. The 34-year-old James Weaver used the butt end of a knife to take out eight windows and a lantern by the time security stopped him, as reported by The Examiner.

Sheriff spokeswomen Eileen Hirst told KCBS: "As far as we can tell this had nothing to do with the BART protest." She continued, "He was very heavily under the influence of either alcohol or drugs."

While the attack may sound like drunken mischief, Weaver now faces nine counts of felony vandalism for the incident, according to KRON, which could mean jail time and some serious fines.
