Jamie Foxx's 'Annie' Role May Be In The Works

Hard Knock Life?

Jamie Foxx may have found his next gig. The increasingly busy actor is reportedly in talks to join "Annie," Sony's upcoming adaptation of the classic Little Orphan Annie story. THR reports that Foxx would play Benjamin Stacks, an updated Daddy Warbucks character.

Celebrated for his role in the Oscar-winning drama "Django Unchained," Foxx has some major projects coming up. The 45-year-old actor is currently filming "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," while "White House Down," his recent collaboration with Channing Tatum, hits theaters on June 28.

Produced by Jay-Z and Will Smith, "Annie" has already found its title character. Nine-year-old Quvenzhané Wallis has nabbed the role of the spunky orphan girl. With Will Gluck ("Friends with Benefits") attached to direct, "Annie" is expected to hit theaters in 2014.
