Jan Brewer's 'Self-Deportation' Scheme On Funny Or Die (VIDEO)

WATCH: How To Self-Deport

One of Mitt Romney's first big ideas during the Republican primaries (remember those?) was the idea that he wouldn't actually force undocumented immigrants to leave the country, but he would fully expect them to "self-deport."

The idea was so roundly mocked that even John McCain staged an "intervention" with Romney to tell him how to be a great candidate. Yes, the guy who chose Sarah Palin told Romney that he needed to clean up his act.

But to some, the idea sounded like a great idea. In this video, Academy Award nominee Mary Steenburgen plays Arizona governor Jan Brewer as she introduces a "self-deportation station" (which is essentially an offensively stereotypical "Mexican trap") that would send immigrants back over the border.

Keep an eye out for George Lopez. So that's what happened after TBS fired him.
