School Kids’ Jump Rope Routine Is Spellbindingly Awesome

We definitely did not look like this on the playground.

This ain't your mother's double Dutch.

A video uploaded to Facebook last week by the Fuji Jump Rope Association in Japan features a group of sixth-graders performing a jump rope routine. And trust us -- it's not like any jumping rope you've seen before.

Watch as the students jump over the rope in groups forming a figure 8 pattern. The routine is as mesmerizing as it is impressive, which is precisely why it's racked up more than 5.5 million views on the social media site as of Monday afternoon.

According to a HuffPost translation of the video's description, this performance was done as part of their graduation project and concludes a "really happy year."

Now excuse us while we try to master basic jumping.
